Additional Two for the Dough (Stephanie Plum, No. 2) Information

Kenny Mancuso shot his childhood buddy Moogey Bues and then jumped bail. Now bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is on the case to track Kenny down. Then someone finished Moogey off, Kenny can't be found, twenty-four coffins are missing, and there's some ex-army heavy artillery roaming the streets. And Joe Morelli - the cop with more than a professional interest in her every move - is tailing Stephanie. With a healthy disregard for the law, and an unhealthy dependence on marshmallow hot chocolate, Stephanie's a match for anyone - even Morelli. That is, until her eccentric grandmother goes AWOL and little pieces of corpses start to disappear...

What Customers Say About Two for the Dough (Stephanie Plum, No. 2):

Whenever Stephanie needs a piece of information, it is offered up by one of her many well-placed friends, be it Mancuso the cop, Ranger the tough bounty hunter, a friend at the DMV--you get the idea. Stephanie Plum's second case involves missing coffins and stolen military weapons. Author Janet Evanovich writes a light, breezy novel with many endearing characters, but as a mystery, it doesn't satisfy. She doesn't seem to discover much on her own. However, since Evanovich's plot is really just a showcase for her characters, it is still an enjoyable and quick read.

They are quirky, easy to read and toss aside when you're done. My book club read the first one earlier this year and now the 2nd one. Some of my friends gush over this series. I don't think they'll stick with me or have anything meaningful going on, but I will probably continue with the series because they can be funny and let's face it, we all need a light read (or twenty) now and then.I liked this story a little bit more, although I wanted some twist in it or something to kind of make me say "ooohhh." but instead it was very predictable. They are okay (not really book club material, for the record). I will admit I liked this one better than the first, with the exception of the grandmother, who drove me nuts. Still, a fun read. I can see I'll be reading quite a few of these during my busy season at work when I need super light reading to stay sane.

The Kindle price more than doubled since I placed it on my wish list. I will not buy it at that price.

Okay, I am finished with number two and I am still rooting for the good guys. You've got to love this plucky gal and this time she is running amok in a funeral parlor with Grandma Mazur. Grandma Mazur has to be one of the best characters in any fluffy mystery series out there. I wish I had created her.

I really enjoyed this second book of the series. It made me laugh, alot. The characters are great, and kept me interested the whole read.
